PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position is responsible for minimizing risks and hazards in the workplace, preventing
accidents and incidents as well as injuries to workers, improving preparedness to emergencies and
ensuring compliance to relevant legislations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIE
S
•
Ensure compliance to work procedures, lock
-
out, tag
-
out, try
-
out (LOTOTO) and Safety,
Health and Environment standards in the manufacturing areas.
•
•
Develop and implemen
t corrective measures to the identified deviations of PTW procedure
implementations.
•
Carry out incident investigation and closure of open actions.
•
Coordinate safety monthly inspection activities and file the reports.
•
Coordinate quarterly meetings for c
ontractors, Safety Committee, Fire Marshals and First
aiders.
•
Capture and track closure of audit findings in Q
-
Pulse and WSO.
•
Implement both ISO 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2015 management standards.
•
Coordinate and participate in the investigation of accid
ents and near misses, and review and
analyze accidents and near miss incidents.
•
Facilitate continuous safety trainings for both TCML and Contractor employees
•
Ensure that operations Employees, Contractors and site visitors receive SHE inductions for
field
operations.
•
Inspect firefighting, safety and emergency response equipment.
•
Prepare and present daily/ weekly/ monthly reports to senior management.
•
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
•
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Science or its
equivalent.
•
Professional qualification in the below areas:

NEBOSH IGC Certification
▪
ISO Certificates ISO 14001:2015 (EMS), ISO 45001: 2018 (OHSAS),ISO 9001:2015
(QMS), ISO 50001:2018 (EnMS) and ISO 22716:2007 (GMP)
▪
Certificate in Environment Impact Assessment and Audit (Registered Professional Expert)
▪
Carbon Footprint Analyst
▪
Fire Marshall
▪
Safety Committee Rules 2003
▪
Occupational First Aider
▪
Radiation Safety
▪
Sustainability (Climate Change & GRI)
•
At least 6 years’ experience in Occupational Safety and Health, Environment and
Sustainability.
