This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining a variety of environmental, health and safety programs to assure safety for all employees, protection of the environment and protection of company assets.RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS
Reviews facility permits, applicable regulations, and work practices to identify environmental concerns and assure implementation of appropriate controlsEnsure that federal, state and local laws, regulations, rules and codes are observed. Manage OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirementsEnsure all environmental obligations are completedDraft and review permit applications, regulatory notifications, periodic reports and records, and environmental management plansConduct risk assessments, maintain documentation and review as neededCirculating lessons learned created to enhance communication of safety incidentsCoordinate annual training required for new and existing employeesParticipate in development and implementation of environmental management systems, emission tracking systems, emergency preparedness, risk assessments and related programsLead and conduct safety meetingsParticipate in annual Industrial Hygiene testingEvaluate and review safety proceduresCreate, maintain and train company personnel on all applicable EH&S policies and proceduresHelp develop controls for identified hazards, coordinate the implementation of controls from result of hazard analysisMeasure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace accidents and injuriesIdentify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace, conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practicesProvide advice and counseling for all compliance regulationsMaintain site-specific policiesMonitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws or reporting requirementsSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Education
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Safety Management or related degree with safety or environmental focusExperience
Experience: 3 - 5 years in an industrial manufacturing setting, with major concentration of job duties relating to environmental, health and safetyKnowledge of Federal EPA, state and local environmental regulationsPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience
