In the role of Safety Health Specialist II, we'll count on you to:Demonstrate journeyman field proficiency in implementing and reviewing site-specific safety plans and programsSupport and assist company's Project/Construction Managers in SHE requirementsShow proficiency in SHE auditing and inspection protocols, behavior-based safety observation program implementation, and development and review of Job Hazard AnalysisBe proficient in SHE training and able to facilitate this training as requiredDisplay working knowledge of SHE regulatory codes to include both federal and stateUnderstand all SHE processes and procedures in support of SHE requirements within an office and field environmentPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsPrevious SHE work experience in construction, mining/tunneling, water infrastructure, DOT, Oil and Gas and/or AE firmA minimum of 3 years technical experience or educational equivalent (minimum of associate Bachelor or Technical degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or closely related fieldRequired Qualifications
Bachelor or Technical degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or closely related field A minimum of 5 years experience in Safety Health and Environment field Certification in one or more SHE fields such as (Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), (GSP) Graduate Safety Practitioner, or equivalent SHE Project/Program Management experienceExtensive knowledge of OSHA and ANSI regulatory standards Knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software Team-oriented with proven oral and written skills to support company SHE policy and procedural requirements An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
