Summary You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the Department of the Navy of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH. Responsibilities You will develop, implement, and track goals and objectives for the safety program applicable to command operations. You will develop safety program policy, procedures, and guidance and updates all policy and procedures as requirements change and/or when new technology and best practices emerge. You will review other local administrative directives and policies to determine impact on safe operations and provides recommendations for inclusion of safe practices and procedures. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing safety program policy, procedures, and guidance and updates all policy and procedures as requirements change; 2) Scheduling and performing inspections to identify unsafe or unhealthy conditions and processes; 3) Assisting in the preparation of the budget for the safety office and command safety program; and 4) Investigating mishaps, determining casual factors, and providing recommendations to safety issues.
