Primary Purpose \n
Provide overall compliance, and health & safety in field services projects in a safe and conscientious manner providing value and customer satisfaction to internal and external customers.\n
Essential Functions and Responsibilities \n\nEnsures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.\nAudits various work sites to ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental requirements and government regulations; recommends and monitors corrective actions.\nProvides technical assistance to assist Company managers in controlling losses from injuries, liabilities and property losses; develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new standards and safety practices.\nDevelops and conducts safety and health training programs.\nCoordinates accident investigations ;assists when appropriate ; ensures completion of necessary paperwork.\nCoordinates medical, workman's compensation and insurance programs to control costs; serves as liaison between insured and insurance carrier when appropriate.\nRepresents the Company with OSHA, the EPA, the DOT, and any other regulatory officials regarding permitting, violations, inspections as requested.\nAssists with obtaining quality safety equipment and when applying for required safety permits.\nAssists in the development of corporate safety budget and monitors budget for assigned areas to ensure adherence.\n\n

Education: Four year college degree required; science or safety-related major preferred.\n
Experience: Minimum 3 years experience working in health and safety related programs is required.\n
Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function.Thorough knowledge and understanding of all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the environmental services and safety industry. Good organizational skills. Interpersonal skills are essential. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.\n
