Safety Contract Management Supervisor - FS (Fixed Term)

Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Safety Contract Management Supervisor - FS (Fixed Term Contract) to join the Project Department. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration of safety processes, ensuring contractors adhere to safety protocols, and managing relationships with contractors and stakeholders.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: 

Ensure compliance with contractual terms, including safety protocols and performance standards. Manage relationships with contractors, including performance monitoring and safety issue resolution. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure contractors are meeting safety requirements. Identify and mitigate safety-related risks, including non-compliance, accidents, and injuries. Continuously review and improve safety processes for contractors, including safety templates, workflows, and reporting. Supervise and recommend safety training for all contractors.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 Certificate  Degree in Health and Safety or equivalent Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management in Health and Safety or a related field Experience with safety management systems and software will be an added advantage Experience in contract negotiation, review, and administration Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Clean Class B or C manual Driver’s licence
