Job Description
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the highest possible level of service to our clients. The role involves being onsite at various projects, dedicating 100% of your time, energy, and efforts to the project. The Safety Coordinator plays a critical role in developing and maintaining relationships with clients, potential clients, internal directors, and other contractors on-site. The position also encompasses day-to-day program management, including supervising field employees and providing direct service delivery to meet contractual obligations while supporting business growth. This position requires the flexibility to travel to different project sites, which may involve extended stays for several weeks or months.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure the highest level of safety service on projects.Develop and maintain relationships with clients, internal directors, and contractors.Supervise field employees and manage day-to-day program activities.Provide direct service delivery to meet contractual obligations.Support business growth through effective safety management.Travel to various project sites, sometimes for extended periods.Essential SkillsExtensive knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.Proficiency with OSHA standards, including OSHA 30 and OSHA 500 certifications.Experience in site safety, construction, and environmental health.10+ years of health and safety experience, preferably in construction.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsCHST, CSP certifications.Experience with safety audits.Ability to write processes and procedures.Self-starter with a proactive approach.Work Environment
The position requires working both on-site and in the office as needed. The role involves travel to various project sites, which may require extended stays. The company provides a company vehicle, company card, and covers all other expenses when traveling.
