Job Description
We are looking for a Safety Coordinator skilled in Mechanical Construction or General Contracting to take on an entry-level leadership role. Projects consist of school buildings and municipal federal buildings.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure all tasks and functions on project sites are performed safely in accordance with company safety policies and State and Federal OSHA standards.Implement the Corporate Safety Award Program.Train field staff on various industrial equipment and maintain records of industrial equipment training.Perform and publish hazard analysis.Conduct jobsite safety inspections.Assist in reporting workers' compensation claims.Administer new hire orientation.Update and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS).Assemble various safety manuals for distribution.Assist in implementing and distributing safety tailgate meetings. Maintain records of signed safety tailgate meeting forms.Assist in incident investigations.Develop and implement lessons learned.Develop jobsite safety plans.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, and Environmental Applied Sciences or a related discipline, preferred.A minimum of 0-3 years’ experience in a related field, preferred.Certifications in CPR and First Aid, preferred.OSHA 10hr, OSHA 30hr, OSHA 40hr training, preferred.OSHA 500 certification, preferred.HAZWOPER Certification, preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with commercial general contracting, pharma projects, process piping, army corps, data centers, and manufacturing.Safety internship experience is a plus.GC or Mechanical Construction Experience.Work Environment
This position will be on site 5 days a week. Project site hours can start as early as 6AM to 4PM. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
