Basic Job Functions: The Safety Coordinator plays a crucial role as an active member of the division safety team. They are responsible for taking the initiative to implement actions and foster a strong safety culture within the division. This role involves leading, influencing, coaching, and teaching division teammates. Key Responsibilities Include: Managing administrative tasks such as OSHA-required training and reporting, maintaining training record systems, and conducting required safety inspections. Overseeing and managing the division's incident management systems. Providing orientation training for new teammates and independent contractors. Covering the responsibilities of the EHS department as needed. Leading/executing on new initiatives to strengthen Safety and Culture. Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to a fast-paced work environment. Other tasks as assigned. Additional Expectations: This is not a remote role and is expected to work on-site. Must be willing to work flexible hours when needed and to be on-call for emergency situations. Must be willing to travel 20% of time. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Compensation Data: This is a salaried position with compensation ranging from $81,900 to $94,900 annually and is eligible for a yearly ROA bonus.
