Purpose of Role:
The SHE/EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Generalist is responsible for day-to-day EHS activities at our Salt Lake City, UT site . Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the EHS Generalist works closely with champions, team leaders, and operators in supporting the continued development of our EHS controls and Zero Harm culture

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with Weir Group’s SHE Charter and internal protocols.Guide and support managers and staff on SHE practices for effective systems and compliance.Develop and update safe work procedures and necessary compliance tools.Conduct audits, inspections, and support accident investigations.Track site sustainability metrics, report to Group level, align SHE plans with objectives, and ensure contractor compliance with local laws and Weir protocols.Develop and deliver SHE training and awareness programs, including new hire inductions through the Weir Zero Harm behavioral program.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.5+ years of SHE/EHS experience in industrial manufacturing setting ; proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Flexible schedule availability.Preferred: SHE certification/license, ISO Management systems experience (9001, 14001, 45001, 50001), and MS SharePoint experience.Founded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
