Job DescriptionPerformance Contracting is seeking a Branch Safety Engineer for its PCI New England construction operations based in Holliston, MA. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:
Assist the branch with implementing and administering PCG, branch-specific, and client accident prevention plans, policies and procedures.Ensure timely submission of PCG, branch, and client safety reports, statistics, and documentation.Provide technical safety expertise, safety training, and support to the branch management and field craft employees.Promote and enforce safety procedure and safe work practices.Assist in the investigation of work-related injuries, illnesses and near-miss incidents.Enforce corrective action to prevent the recurrence of hazardous conditions or behaviors.Practice timely and accurate accident reporting.Review all accidents and investigation reports.Act as liaison between the company and client as it relates to site safety management.Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards in a professional manner.Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the branch and company's accident prevention plans, policies and procedures.Provide safety resources for workers.Identify, anticipate and evaluate potential safety health hazards.Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance.Establish branch and project safety goals.Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPO).Be familiar with current OSHA construction standards.Assist in completing customer required pre-qualification and pre-mobilization safety documentation for all projects.Complete internal site safety inspection audits to identify safety compliance on the projects and to identify trends.Conduct New Hire Orientations.This position is safety-sensitive.
RequirementsBasic Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' previous professional experience in a safety roleMust have Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Science/Management, or related discipline, or comparable work experience in construction safetyMust have OSHA 30 certificationAbility to effectively conduct safety training Track record of successfully managing multiple subordinatesAbility to pursue professional development and complete training that will benefit you and the organization (e.g., MEWP Trainer, Rigging, Fall Protection, Scaffold Trainer, Confined Space, etc.)Showcases strong oral and written communication skillsAbility to thrive both independently and within a collaborative team environmentAbility to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taughtCustomer service skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and employees at all levelsDisplays critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize, work on multiple tasks concurrently, and meet deadlinesAbility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentPossess intermediate skills navigating Microsoft Office Suite, inclduing Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.Preferred Requirements:
