Leidos has an exciting opening for you as our next entry-level Safety Engineer under the digital modernization group. As a entry-level Safety Engineer, you will be required to help manage the Safety Program for the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center campus in Oklahoma City, OK. All work is conducted on-site at our client location in Oklahoma City, OK.

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years.)

All new hires must pass a drug test prior to starting with Leidos.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supports in development of procedures, processes, standards, specifications, and systems to identify and achieve optimal control or reduction of hazards and exposures that may harm people, property, and/or the environment.Serves as part of a multidisciplinary team in analyzing field-level hazard-producing mechanisms.Research regulatory, scientific, and engineering written materials.Assists safety professionals in facility inspections and annual audits.  Works with team to inspect new and on-going construction projects. Reviews construction drawings from an occupational safety and health perspectiveProvides assistance with hot work permits.Provides assistance with Construction Safety.Provides assistance with Safety Program Meetings. Provides weekly construction reports.

Basic Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering, a related field or equivalent experience and less than 2 year of prior experience.

Pay Range:Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
