Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and certified Construction Safety Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing site safety for a large project in upstate New York. You should be familiar with all aspects of general construction and experienced in large scale projects, coordinating safety with the Owner, General Contractor, and all Subcontractors on site. Excellent communication and written skills are required. Please have three plus years of safety management experience and current certifications, as this is a requirement from the owners.ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA standards.Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop project plans and specifications.Implement Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols to promote a safe working environment.Oversee risk management processes to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant building codes.Prepare reports on project status, including any issues or delays that may arise during construction.Essential SkillsCertified Safety Professional certificate or equivalent construction safety experience.Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.Familiarity with occupational health standards and compliance management.Proficient in risk management techniques applicable to construction projects.Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.Experience in managing construction sites while adhering to safety regulations.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 30 and OSHA 40 certifications.OSHA 500 certification is advantageous.Ability to build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.Work EnvironmentThis role involves working on-site at a large construction project in upstate New York. The work environment includes managing heavy construction, not residential projects. The candidate will be required to conduct regular site inspections, ensure compliance with safety standards, and collaborate with various professionals to ensure project success.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $61.82 - $61.82/hr.
