You Are:
Safety Engineering role supporting office operations.
Must- Resources with IIISM, Diploma in industrial from Torangal, RLICLI.
The Opportunity:
The Safety Engineer will work closely with site operations and other EHS staff to drive Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs, ensure regulatory compliance and promote continuous improvement. Ensure EHS programs and management systems in place in alignment with Corporate EHS requirements to minimize the risks to employees, the environment. EHS Training capabilities & experience conducting training for employees. Test stand reviews and release for operation, Lab specific activities; MOC reviews, surveys etc. Hands-on training assessment. Ensures proper investigations of EHS incidents conducted and drive corrective actions to closure Review and report EHS progress and performance for assigned site/function based on established EHS metrics to site management. Provide onsite support and perform risk assessment for floor expansion projects. Identify, initiate and drive energy reduction and sustainability projects. Track and trend EHS related legislation and take appropriate action to comply with requirements. Communicates EHS issues to all necessary management and employees. Remains knowledgeable of progress made in EHS best practices and incorporate these within Applied. Transport safety management: Regular inspections and review of safety compliance as per statutory requirements. BCP Support; backup for EHS representative to monitor ground level execution compliance of BCP actions. Interfaces with internal stakeholders regarding EHS issues with ability to work with cross functional teams to accomplish goals and objectives Emergency Response Team coordination; Onsite availability to direct ERT members on need basis
What you need:
Degree in the field of Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred) and Diploma / M.Tech in Industrial Safety (M.Tech from NIT preferred) At least 1 to 3 years professional experience in an EHS function in a comparable industry (R+D operations preferred) Knowledge of EHS legislation and implementation, liaison with local PCBs. Experience with general EHS auditing to identify opportunities for improvement and provide suitable recommendations for corrective actions Good knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint Good communication skills.
