Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.

Job Description

Location: Tifton, GA - 100% Onsite

 

As the Safety Engineer I, you will assist in developing, implementing and monitoring programs that drive year-over-year increases in safety and ergonomics and maintain the highest environmental quality standards.

 

Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes health, safety and environmental (HSE) recommendations accordingly.Prepare, maintain, and update environmental and policy and procedure manuals.Help ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.Inspect facilities, machinery (R3 – Risk Assessments), and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents.Develop, implement, and manage health and safety plans and data for the employer’s facilities.Conduct safety audits to evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety programs. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

 

Bachelor's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.General knowledge of health, safety, environmental and workers compensation practices. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills that result in effective communication. Foundational knowledge of developing and implementing training programs and continuous improvement methods and practices.Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel,Word,PowerPoint)

 

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $54,000 - $70,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.
