Our client is currently seeking a Safety Engineer with project experience to join their team in The Hague, Netherlands.

Role Overview

Providing technical advise, manage and prepare safety engineering activities and deliverables on mid-large projects. Collaborate with project management and other disciplines to ensure project success. Implement the latest technology and methods to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity for the department. Understand project business case and reflect this in the work environment, including productivity, schedule, work hour control, and innovation. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Conduct hazard identification studies, such as HAZOPS, and develop safety strategies. Perform consequence modeling and dispersion modeling for process safety deliverables. Provide technical expertise in areas such as hazardous area classification and human factor engineering. Take ownership of project scope, budget, and schedule. Work independently and report to Lead Engineer.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering. Relevant experience in Safety Engineering role. Experience in FEED or Detailed Design project phases. Strong team player within the Safety Engineering team and with other departments. Excellent communication and coordination skills (both verbal and written). Technical expertise in process safety deliverables, such as hazardous area classification, consequence modeling, and dispersion modeling.
