JOB OVERVIEW:
At Nucor Buildings Group we take pride in not only producing high-quality steel buildings but also in ensuring the Health and Wellness of our Teammates and their families. Our Onsite Medical Clinic is available to both Teammates and their families covered by Group Insurance, provides Comprehensive Healthcare Services, including access to a Licensed Practitioners during the week. To further support the Health and Safety of our team, we are seeking a dedicated Health Coordinator to manage and oversee the daily operations of our clinic and wellness programs.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
As Health Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of our Onsite Clinic and Wellness Programs. You will also ensure the Clinic operates efficiently including triage, patient care, and scheduling, to support the physical health of our workforce, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. You will work closely with our Practitioners, Safety Coordinator, and other outside Healthcare Professionals to provide effective care, wellness initiatives, and health safety programs.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent RN ,LVN, EMT, or Paramedic in good standing with the State Board 2-3 years of experience working in a Medical Clinic or healthcare setting, preferably in an Industrial or Manufacturing environment. Knowledge of medical laws and practices, including workers' compensation, drug screening laws, and HIPAA responsibilities. Willingness to be available for off-shift consultations and support in urgent or emergency situations. Experience with general triage, taking vitals, splinting, and basic emergency care. Experience managing patient files and working with EMR systems and paper medical records. BLS Certification is required. Ability to recognize life-threatening situations and respond effectively in both clinical and industrial settings. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Occupational Hearing Conservations (COHC) or within 6 months of hire. AHA BLS Instructor or equivalent or within 6 months of hire. DOT Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) or within 6 months of hire. Previous experience working in Occupational Medical setting. Additional certifications or training in occupational health or safety management
