Safety Inspector - (Houston, TX) - Austin Industrial (TPC)
**Description** **Austin Industrial, Inc.** - We seek an experienced Safety Inspector based in Houston, Texas. This position requires NCCER certification, a valid Driver's License, and a TWIC Card. Our team of 4,000 employee-owners, equipped with innovative technology and optimized procedures, helps owners optimize safety, productivity, profit margins, and cost efficiency. **Safety Inspector** Responsible for assisting with maintenance projects in Houston, TX inspecting workplaces regularly for compliance with safety regulations. Identifying potential hazards in the workplace. Evaluating machinery and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards and conducting safety audits and inspections. Other duties may be assigned. **Specific Duties and Responsibilities:** + Perform a variety of tasks. + Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman or Safety personnel. + Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions. + Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. + Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time. + Ability to communicate orally and in writing. + Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions. + Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. + Conduct daily safety audits. + Administer monthly and daily safety meetings. + Conduct accident investigations. + Ensure employees are following proper safety protocols and procedures. + Answers to HSE manager. + NCCER in field safety or equivalent training/degree required. + Ability to work in high-pressure settings. + Benefits offered after the probationary period. + Other duties as assigned. **Physical Demands:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
