Responsibilities What You’ll Do:As a Safety Intern, you’ll work closely with Hayward’s Site Safety Coordinator and department leads to enhance workplace safety by updating Job Safety Assessments (JSAs) and ensuring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements are integrated into production processes.
Your Responsibilities:✅ Job Safety Assessments (JSAs):
Collaborate with department leads and the Site Safety Coordinator to create and update JSAs for production and material handling tasks.Help present JSAs in a clear, visual format to improve understanding.Assist in training employees on updated JSAs to promote a culture of safety.✅ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Assessments:
Work with the Safety Coordinator and department leads to review and update PPE assessments.Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure PPE and safety guidelines are included in production work instructions. Qualifications What We’re Looking For:✔ Current junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
✔ Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, engaging with employees at all levels.
✔ Strong communication skills and ability to explain safety procedures clearly.
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
✔ Detail-oriented with a passion for workplace safety.
