Safety Internship
Overview The Safety Intern will focus on assisting the safety team with day-to-day functions at construction project sites. Responsibilities Assist safety team with all daily safety functions Assist with PODs and “Tool Box Talks” Assist with overseeing site safety Assist with safety training for new employees Assisting with ensuring safety protocols are always followed Travelling to project sites Assisting with documentation Extended work hours and weekend work may be required Will provide other duties as assigned Qualifications EDUCATION Currently pursuing undergraduate, four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health/Environmental Safety and Health or another related field REQUIREMENTS Comfortable with exposure to dirt, heat and noise Minimum GPA of 3.0 24 hours of college credits completed Have a basic understanding of the construction industry and accepted business practices COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Strong work ethic Ability to complete tasks with speed and accuracy Deadline Oriented Problem Solving Written and Oral Communication Adaptable and willing to learn Compensation $18-$21 /hour.
