Safety Manager

Responsibilities:

Maintain a level of continuing education on safety matters to ensure the ability to interpret, implement and train in all relevant safety requirements. Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of the EHS management system.Manage forms and reporting procedures required by OSHA, EPA, and other government agencies for offices within your region.Investigate incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety-related incidents, events, and inspections.Serve as point of contact for any interactions with regulatory agencies.Assist with company drug testing program as necessary.Provide training to employees on safety protocols, including first aid, CPR, Confined Space Entry, and emergency response proceduresIdentify, schedule, and maintain training programs and records on safety requirements for employees within your region.Conduct and document audits and inspections to identify system-level weaknesses and recommend solutions for corrective action.Provide coaching and feedback on matters of safety.Oversee and analyze leading and lagging indicator performance and develop CAPA’s to address underperformance.Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports on safety performance metrics for management review.Conduct special projects as assigned and needed.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in a Safety Management role or similar role.Previous working experience in a field service safety environment.In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulatory requirements and working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and EPA regulatory requirements.Working knowledge of ISO 45001.Bachelor of Science degree in Safety, Health, and Environmental, or a technical degree in similar field of study.Certification(s) in Occupational Health and Safety, such as CIH, CHMM, CSP, GSP or OSHA Certified Trainer.Exceptional communication skills, with tact and diplomacy in dealing with others and the ability to deal with all levels of management from field to corporate levels.Solid sense of professionalism and attention to detail.Working knowledge of computers with competencies in Windows, Office, Cority or equivalent EHS Management Software.Ability to complete work assignments and work alone with little supervision.Ability to travel up to 60% throughout the year.Valid drivers license.
