Job Description:
Adolfson & Peterson Construction, one of the nation’s top contractors, is recruiting for an experienced Safety Manager.
The Safety Manager will manage AP’s safety program to ensure a safe environment for all employees. Champion the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) philosophy and culture in a manner that supports senior managements’ commitment that AP will operate in a manner that fosters and supports the IIF initiative. Provide safety trainings and communicate safety issues. This position may be responsible for a region’s safety program or be assigned specifically to designated projects.
Because safety is paramount to AP and embedded into everything we do, all team members are responsible for working safely within our Incident and Injury Free culture.

Requirements:
History of experience and proven results including:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Safety Management, or related field plus 6 – 8 years directly related experience in field and office safety and health program management. Construction industry experience preferred.Experience working through inspections and audits with state and local government agencies.Knowledge of state and federal safety laws and regulations.Knowledge of dust control and storm water management.Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.Experience conducting safety training's.Currently possess or able to obtain OSHA 500 Trainer Card for the construction industry.Ability to travel.Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.Developed skills (written, oral, and listening) in order to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints.Ability to drive to the core of complex issues and provide insightful and constructive feedback.This position is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug testing.Benefits:
