Safety Manager

You’ll monitor, enforce, and update our safety and environmental policies, ensuring that every project is executed with the highest standards of safety. Your goal? To foster a culture of safety where every employee feels empowered and informed. Essential Duties + Champion Safety: Ensure every construction site is a safe haven for our workers. + Plan and Protect: Review project plans and schedules to identify and mitigate safety concerns. + Advise and Educate: Guide our project and administrative teams on safety compliance to keep projects on track. + Tailor Safety Plans: Develop site-specific safety plans and manage all related documentation. + Inspect and Improve: Conduct regular site inspections, provide solutions, and lead toolbox talks. + Train and Inform: Deliver comprehensive safety training and create informative materials for our team. + Certify and Comply: Track and manage employee safety certifications and ensure compliance with regulations. + Update and Adapt: Regularly update safety manuals and training programs to reflect the latest laws and best practices. Claims Management + Train and Manage: Educate employees on injury reporting and manage claims with thorough communication and documentation. + Analyze and Act: Track and analyze safety incidents to implement improvements and prevent future occurrences. + Equip and Budget: Manage safety equipment and budgets to ensure our team has what they need to stay safe. Continuous Improvement + Lead by Example: Continuously enhance our safety and environmental performance, ensuring compliance with all regulations. + Advocate for Safety: Uphold our company values and be a vocal advocate for safety in all aspects of our operations. Qualifications + Experience: 3-5 years of construction safety experience with a BCSP designation or 5-7 years of relevant experience. + Knowledge: In-depth understanding of OSHA and EPA standards. + Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to lead and educate teams. + Detail-Oriented: Great attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. + Organized: Excellent organizational and coordination skills. + Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe, with strong internet and email management skills. Preferred Qualifications + Certifications: OSHA 500, CPR, First Aid, AEF, and blood-borne pathogens training (can be earned after hire). + Comprehensive Safety Knowledge: Expertise in various aspects of construction safety and environmental compliance.
