Curries (an ASSA ABLOY branded company) is looking to add a Safety Manager to our Operations Management team. This position will be based on-site out of our manufacturing facility located in Mason City, Iowa.

What would you do as our Safety Manager?
This role will function as our onsite subject matter expert and will partner with the Plant Management team to provide guidance on the overall safety program. This role will also be tasked with developing, managing and executing policies, procedures and programs that ensure the safety of all employees.
You would also:
Develop and implement innovative strategies with the goal of creating a culture of safety. Ensure policies, procedures and programs are in place and aimed at improving safety performance. Mentor, develop and manage members of the safety team. Partner with department leaders and employees on implementation of safety initiatives Oversee the incident investigation process to ensure incidents are reported in a timely manner, investigations are conducted properly, root causes are identified and ensure that corrective actions are tracked to closure. Develop and maintain site preparedness and emergency plans and procedures. Maintain records, data, and other safety related information necessary to satisfy legislative and company requirements. Stay abreast of relevant safety legislation and requirements, communicate those to management, and implement processes and procedures necessary to comply. Drive risk identification and abatement. Perform other duties and special projects as required. Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees. Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
The Skills and Experience we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, EHS, Occupational Health, Engineering or related field Minimum of 5-7 years of Safety experience working in a manufacturing or operations environment with at least 2 years of team management experience Knowledge of state, local and government related requirements codes, industry standards, regulations, and applicable statutes Previous experience interacting with Safety related regulatory agencies. Excellent communication and people skills
