We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Safety Manager to join our dynamic team in a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safety of all on-site activities, working closely with contractors, the inspection team, and project management to maintain a safe working environment across multiple projects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Safety Oversight & Implementation:**
+ Collaborate with contractors, the inspection team, and project management to ensure effective safety protocols are implemented and strictly adhered to across all project phases.
+ **Regulatory Compliance & Safety Documentation:**
+ Ensure compliance with contract safety and security requirements, ensuring all projects meet industry standards, local regulations, and best practices for workplace safety.
+ **Program Development & Support:**
+ Assist in the development and continuous improvement of the Safety Program, providing leadership in safety training, risk assessments, and accident prevention strategies.
+ **Incident Management & Reporting:**
+ Manage and oversee incident reports, conducting thorough investigations into accidents or near-misses, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
+ **Safety Audits & Inspections:**
+ Conduct regular safety audits and site inspections, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ **Education:**
+ High school diploma (or equivalent) required; a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field is preferred.
+ **Certifications:**
+ Must have one or more of the following certifications:
+ Active Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) certification.
+ Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification.
+ Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification, or
+ Industrial Hygienist Certification.
+ **Experience:**
+ 0-5 years for Junior Level
+ 5-10 years for Mid-Level
+ 15+ years for Senior Level
+ Experience providing safety oversight on vertical, tunnel, or heavy civil construction projects is highly preferred.
**Compensation:**
$104k-$146k
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
