For the Italian production plant of JJ Innovative Medicine (Borgo San Michele - Latina) we are looking for a Safety Manager reporting to the EHS Site Lead.
The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role is crucial to maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying hazards, and proactively mitigating risks to prevent accidents and injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
· Safety Program Development Compliance: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs that align with industry regulations and Johnson Johnson's global health, safety standards. Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are in full compliance with JJ’s internal policies, local, state, and federal regulations.
· Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Ensure strict adherence to JJ’s safety standards by conducting regular audits and inspections across all departments. Monitor operations to ensure compliance with JJ’s global safety guidelines and industry-specific safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO, EPA).
· Training Continuous Improvement: Develop and deliver training programs that not only cover OSHA and other regulatory requirements but also emphasize Johnson Johnson’s safety culture and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging employees in proactive safety behavior aligned with JJ’s high standards for health and safety.
· Incident Investigation Root Cause Analysis: Lead thorough investigations of workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring all actions taken are in line with JJ’s Incident Reporting System and root cause analysis methods. Ensure that corrective and preventive actions are implemented to prevent recurrence and enhance overall workplace safety.
· Safety Audits Inspections: Regularly conduct safety audits to assess operational compliance with JJ's EHS standards and identify any gaps. Work collaboratively with departments to develop and execute corrective action plans as necessary to ensure ongoing adherence to JJ’s expectations for a safe work environment.
· Documentation Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of safety audits, incident investigations, corrective actions, and training in accordance with JJ’s standards for documentation and reporting. Prepare and submit reports to upper management and regulatory authorities as needed.
· Continuous Alignment with JJ Policies: Stay up-to-date with any updates or changes to JJ’s health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring that all safety management activities reflect the most current global guidelines. Act as a key liaison between the safety team and other departments to ensure seamless alignment with JJ’s overarching safety initiatives.
