Job Description

Seeking a safety technician to perform orientations, JSAs, safety meetings, running internal and subcontractors safety, etc.

ResponsibilitiesConduct safety orientations for new employees.Develop and implement Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).Organize and lead safety meetings.Oversee safety protocols for both internal teams and subcontractors.Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations.Provide safety training and guidance to employees.Essential SkillsExperience in Solar and Construction industries.Knowledge of OSHA standards including OSHA 30, OSHA 500, and OSHA 510.Proficiency in safety management and safety training.Experience with health and safety protocols.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in safety or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of project experience in a construction safety role.A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a construction safety role and completion of the OSHA 500 Training Course.CHST designation with a minimum of four years in a construction safety role.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work outside at a solar project in the person, VA in a new construction environment. Work 5-6 shifts a week, totaling 40-50 hours. The workday begins at 7 AM with three breaks daily (morning, lunch, and afternoon). Morning safety talks precede work. Wear outdoor work clothing. Mileage for work-related tasks is covered, and a company truck or mileage reimbursement is provided if using a personal vehicle. A $3,000 per diem is also offered.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00
