The Company currently has gross annual receipts of roughly $70 million, an available bonding capacity of $70 million, an insurance experience modifier of 0.88, and is licensed in all local jurisdictions. **Job Title:** Safety Manager **Job Summary:** R&R Mechanical, and EMCOR company, has an opportunity for a Safety Manager. The Safety Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s Employee Safety & Health programs as well as ensuring company compliance with all EMCOR, Federal, State and Local safety and transportation regulations in the DC Metro region. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Provide overall direction and oversight regarding safety for the company. + Implement and enforce company safety programs and standard operating procedures. + Coordinate and implement OSHA, MSHA, EPA, ANSI, DOT, and other federal, state, and local safety standards. + Ensure compliance with company safety policies and programs to maintain a safe work environment for all employees, locations, job sites, and vehicles. + Conduct and manage safety training programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment. + Oversee and manage in-person best practice recommendations and technical assistance for field personnel. + Develop and maintain positive relationships with field personnel, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors. + Collaborate with clients, general contractors, and site managers to address site issues. + Perform and oversee site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations. + Respond to emergencies involving injuries or significant hazards, preparing reports and recommendations. + Oversee handling of recordable injuries, work-related incidents, and insurance claims with the Safety Coordinator. + Manage return-to-work and modified duty claims. + Investigate and analyze incidents to identify causes and prevent future accidents (Root Cause Analysis). + Recommend measures to protect workers from hazardous conditions, methods, processes, or equipment. + Mentor field supervisors and project managers on safe work procedures and job site hazard assessments. + Revise, update, and maintain the safety manual. + Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. **Education and/or Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or similar background with a comparable combination of relevant experience and education. + 3–5 years of related experience in a commercial/heavy industrial HVAC or construction industry. + 5+ years of experience in a professional safety role; proven successful experience as a construction safety manager preferred. + Experience writing Health and Safety Plans (HASP’s) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s). + Experience performing safety inspections ensuring compliance with OSHA. + Experience evaluating hazards in a construction environment, controls, and monitor effectiveness. + Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred. + 30 Hour OSHA certification required. + OSHA 500 certification or the ability to obtain the certification within the first 90 days of employment. **Qualifications:** + Working knowledge of Hazard Identification, Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, Fall Protection, and general company safe work practices. + Deep understanding of occupational health and safety guidelines/regulations. + In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, federal, state, and city environmental and safety regulations and practices. + Ability to coordinate and deliver applicable safety training. + Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal skills. + Must possess a valid driver’s license. + The ability to travel to job sites and/or other offices is needed. + Available to work outside normal business hours when needed. **Software:** + Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Training in corporate safety systems will be provided. **DC and MD Disclosure:** As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.  Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled _Compensation Range: $100,000-$120,000_ _Other Compensation: Bonus eligible, auto allowance_ Benefits: We are committed to providing employees a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability, a 401(k) Savings Plan, College Coach and employee assistance program **EMCOR Disclosure:** _EMCOR and its companies are deeply committed to the health and wellbeing of their employees.
