Safety & Recruiting Manager
**Ultimate LLC has an immediate need for a SAFETY & RECRUITING MANAGER in the Baltimore area. Salary is $75k-$100k.** We are looking for an individual with the flexibility to manage site safety and manage recruiting craft labor. This dynamic position will be split between the two responsibilities and have a home office located in Glen Burnie, MD. Travel to various jobsites from the Baltimore area to jobsites around the i-81 corridor in MD, VA and WV will be required. This position with be salary-based compensation. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (SITE SAFETY)** + Develop, implement, and execute health & safety guidelines. + Conduct/track safety training. (New hire orientation, annual training, lift training etc.) + Communicate guidelines to employees and develop relevant policies to maintain a safe workplace. + Investigate accidents/incidents and provide recommendations for improvement and prevention. + Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions. + Report on health, safety & environmental practices on job sites to assess conditions. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (HIRING MANAGER)** + Meet with management to determine current needs for craft labor new hires. + Seek qualified talent based on qualities, skills and responsibilities needed to excel in open positions. + Conduct interviews & review with management to decide on the best applicants for position. + Communicate expectations of employment and ensure company policies are followed. + On boarding and Safety training for new hires. + Developing Job descriptions. **CORE COMPETENCIES** + Driven, Accountable, Team Oriented, Consistent. + Organizational and motivational skills. + Effective verbal communication skills. + Self-Starter – Ability to work alone on a project, and as part of a team. + Ability to adapt to a dynamic role. **EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS** + OSHA 510 & 500 Required + 3-5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in an industrial environment. + Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies. + Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines & OSHA safety regulations. + Experience working within a hiring role that involves recruiting, interviewing, hiring and on boarding employees. + Reliable transportation with active driver’s license + US Citizen and/or Green Card Verified + Flexibility to travel in the Baltimore Metro Area (Aberdeen, MD to Washington, DC) + Willing to work at least 40 hours per week (Mon – Thu on a 4-10’s schedule or Mon- Fri on a 5-8s schedule), with the flexibility to work overtime as required. Some night shift may be required, which is dependent on client needs. + Flexibility to work outside of your trade Our client is a heavy industrial mechanical contractor that focuses on the installation, service, and maintenance of power and process systems in the manufacturing and power generation market. MAIC is based in Baltimore, MD with a satellite office in Hagerstown, MD. Our client has a focus on the process industrial market with our primary focus being the installation of equipment, piping, and structural steel for a core group of clients that demand quality, safety and reliability. With that in mind, we work in a wide range of environments from Food Grade Manufacturing to Chemical Processing and Power Plants.
