About this RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Safety Representative to join our team who has expereince in the utility space. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures related to underground electrical systems. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety excellence.
What You'll Do Inspecting and Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections of underground electrical systems to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments to evaluate potential hazards associated with underground power activities and develop strategies to mitigate risks.Training and Education: Provide training and education to employees and contractors on safety protocols, procedures, and best practices for working with underground electrical systems.Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant safety regulations and standards pertaining to underground electrical systems and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training activities, and compliance documentation. Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required. What You'll Bring HS Diploma/GED RequiredAssociates in Safety, Occupational Health or related field, preferredStrong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Fluent in Spanish (Oral and Written)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software/toolsSafety Licenses/Certifications preferredCIH, CSP, CUSP, OSHT, CHSValue a team environment and understanding supporting other individuals and teamAbility to travel 5% outside of the Houston Metro What You'll GetAs a Quanta Services employee, we offer a wide range of benefits to fit your needs.
