Pay Rate: $35/hour/HR W2
Employment Type: Contract (40 hours/week)

Job Description:Medical Surveillance Testing: Required (Must obtain medical clearance to wear a PAPR)
Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Representative with a strong background in maintenance or construction safety. This role will be responsible for overseeing safety protocols, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in safety programs, a strong commitment to workplace safety, and excellent organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: Conduct contractor safety audits to ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards. Issue permits including Core Permits, Electrical authorizations, and Hot Work Permits. Serve as a Safety Lookout during live electrical panel work. Maintain inspection records for electrical safety gloves and arc flash suits. Conduct regular safety inspections of eye wash stations, GFCI, shop jacks, and fire extinguishers. Ensure STOP Audits are recorded and uploaded to the company database. Upload CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicle) hours to the company database. Assist in writing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Utilize subscription services to ensure compliance with local safety regulations. Document and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Communicate with contractors to verify proper licensing. Conduct monthly vehicle inspections of company pool vehicles. Assist in the development and facilitation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Conduct walking and working surface inspections. Assist in organizing FS&RE (Facilities, Safety & Real Estate) monthly safety meetings. Work closely with EH&S Safety SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) for Personal Safety and Industrial Hygiene to support the implementation of Standards. Assist in instructor-led EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) training sessions for FS&RE personnel. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Background in safety-related roles, preferably in maintenance or construction. Education: Safety-related degree or equivalent experience preferred. Technical Skills: Proficient in computer applications for data entry and reporting. Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and compliance. Communication: Ability to effectively communicate safety protocols and collaborate with teams. Safety Focused: Passion for workplace safety and ensuring compliance with regulations. Diverse Work Environments: Comfortable working in varied settings and with different teams. Agricultural or Research Experience (Preferred): Previous experience in an agricultural or research center setting is a plus. Top 3 Must-Have Qualities:
Strong knowledge of safety protocols and programs.Commitment to workplace safety and promoting a safe work culture.Ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
