Safety Rotational Associate 2024
Opportunity summary: As a Safety Associate, you are responsible for working with teams and providing safety support for various departments of the organization. The 12-month program consists of designed to explore different safety functions and systems while learning aspects of the paper and packaging industry.

Complete an unprecedented skill-building opportunity which prepares its participants for a career in safety and health at Smurfit Westrock
Receive hands-on training and practical application of safety and health practices at Smurfit Westrock, along with exposure to business and manufacturing processes
Complete two field assignments where individual will continue to engage with the Safety and Health team on scheduled off-site Safety Audits, Surveys, Process Safety applications, training programs, seasonal outages, meetings, and other opportunities in different businesses and geographical areas
May be offered an opportunity to gain exposure to subject matter experts as well as key leaders in our manufacturing facilities located across the country.
Rotations are selected based on business need and can be anywhere within the United States
Upon successful completion of the Program, participants may move into a full-time position and continue their career as a safety and health professional
What you need to succeed:
Education:
Required: Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental or Engineering OR pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental or Engineering
Required: Previous intern, co-op or work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Ability to relocate per program requirements
