Responsibilities As a Safety and Security Officer you are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all Canyon Ranch guests, staff, and property, and for enforcing such in accordance with all operating procedures. You'll be patrolling the property numerous times per shift both on foot and by vehicle, and reporting any fire/safety or criminal activity to the Manager. You will screen all visitors to the property both in-person and by use of CCTV and escorting any unwanted individuals off property at the request of Management. You will perform routine parking and speeding checks around the property. As a Safety and Security Officer, you will respond to all emergencies on property to include, but not limited to fire, medical, severe weather, and evacuation. You will follow all standard operating procedures in accordance with said emergency. You will work with property management and local public safety departments to ensure the property remains safe during incidents. You will also alert Management to emergencies as directed. You will act as the initial contact for all incidents of guests on property by responding to and investigating such incidents per the standard operating procedure. You will also work closely with Management to ensure all incidents are documented, including taking witness statements and photography as needed. You will initiate reports involving lost and found items, performing routine checks throughout the property for such items, and also document, contact owners and return found items. The schedule is 11pm-7am Compensation is $17.00 per hour. Qualifications You will need a High School diploma, GED or equivalent. Prior knowledge of position/industry preferred. Willing to train the right candidate. You will also need to be CPR and First Aid certified within three (3) months of employment. You will need to be 21 years of age, with at least two years of licensed driving experience and have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. To be successful, you will need to have basic computer skills, the ability to operate medical, fire alarm, and communications equipment. You will also need to have strong written and communication skills and problem-solving skills. You will need the ability to handle and/or prevent stressful and emergency situations.
