The Safety Specialist, Laboratory coordinates laboratory safety activities, assists laboratory personnel and staff, and implements laboratory safety policies of the Hackensack Meridian Health Center for Discovery and Innovation Health and Safety program with the intention of providing a safe and effective laboratory environment.

Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Health Sciences or Safety Management.Must have a functional knowledge of hazards within the laboratory environment. Must communicate and work cooperatively with personnel throughout the laboratory research environment.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Certification in environmental safety and health, occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, or hospital safety. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
