The Opportunity

We are expanding our H&S function at WestRock and seeking a new Health & Safety Specialist to join our production team. This is your chance to collaborate closely with an experienced Regional HSE Lead and develop expertise in HSE regulations within a manufacturing environment.

 

How will you impact Smurfit Westrock:

Execute tasks based on occupational health and safety regulationsInitiate and implement solutions to improve the workplace safety cultureReview and develop health and safety documentation resulting in compliance with legislation and internal company needsConduct occupational health and safety training (initial), coordinate periodic training, and develop training materials and documentationParticipate and consult projects related to occupational health and safety and environmental protectionCooperate with external institutions and supervisory authorities regarding health and safety requirements

 

What do you need to be successful?

At least 2 years of experience in occupational health and safety in a manufacturing environmentBachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or post-graduate studies in the same field preferredPractical understanding of health and safety regulationsKnowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 preferredAbility to work independently and organize your own workProactive mindset and high energy levelQualifications of a Fire Protection Inspector preferred Smurfit Westrock is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
