Job Summary
Location: Woodland, California
A $5,000 signing bonus is being offered to the successful candidate.
This position will lead safety and industrial hygiene efforts while supporting the implementation and oversight of safety programs and policies, as well as maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety regulations. Expertise in training, auditing, and hazard identification and control are required. The position reports to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for the safety effort at both our Stockton and Woodland sites, with functional reporting to the corporate Safety department.
Key Accountabilities Develops, implements, and continuously improves safety programs Works collaboratively with leadership and employees to strengthen the company’s safety culture Leads strategic safety initiatives Conducts site assessments and recommend solutions to address gaps Works with leaders to ensure compliance with regulations and alignment with company expectations Creates and delivers safety-related reports and presentations Develops and presents training and educational programs Performs all other related duties as assigned Minimum Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational Safety or a closely related field One year of practical experience in industrial safety, safety management systems, training, field/site safety auditing, project management, and hazard identification and control Other QualificationsPreferred
Two years of practical experience in industrial safety, safety management systems, training, field/site safety auditing, project management, and hazard identification and control Knowledge of occupational safety regulations Knowledge of electrical standards Knowledge of safety management systems Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
