**Job Title: Safety Specialist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to identify and address compliance issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement through regular audits. The role involves facilitating investigations, maintaining compliance paperwork, and entering information into internal databases promptly. The Safety Specialist will conduct observations, audits, and provide necessary training to team members and managers. Additional responsibilities may include fire prevention, hazardous waste management, and participation in process improvement activities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Identify and inform management of compliance issues, risks, and improvement opportunities through weekly and monthly audits.
+ Facilitate investigation processes.
+ Maintain required paperwork to comply with regulations.
+ Enter information into internal databases in a timely manner.
+ Perform observations and audits.
+ Train and assist team members and managers to complete their responsibilities.
+ Conduct specific training as required by the manager.
+ May have additional responsibilities for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or related activities depending on the business unit and location.
+ Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
+ Maintain a calm demeanor in various situations.
+ Minimum of 1 year in an Environmental, EHS-related field or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
+ Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
+ Professional experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues.
+ Availability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and/or weekends.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a related field.
+ Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, judgment, and customer focus skills.
+ Experience leading and managing a team.
+ Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential concerns.
+ Conduct job hazard and job analyses.
+ Experience in response and currently holds relevant certificates.
+ Experience in healthcare or industrial settings.
+ Experience with Workers' Compensation.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
