Job Description:
Position Summary: Responsible for conducting personal exposure monitoring for respirable crystalline silica, lead, hexavalent chromium, noise, and other health hazards. Ensures compliance with occupational health regulations and conducts risk assessments, recommending controls to protect team members from exposure and environmental hazards.
ESSENTIAL Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement and Monitor: Coordinate, implement, and monitor the Company Industrial Hygiene program across assigned location or locations.Exposure Monitoring: Perform personal exposure monitoring using sampling pumps, noise dosimeters, and other industrial hygiene monitoring equipment. Analyze the results to assess the level of risk.Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain various industrial hygiene instruments, including sampling pumps, calibrators, and microscopes, ensuring equipment is properly calibrated and operational.Sample Collection: Collect samples as required by regulatory agencies, complete necessary data sheets and chain of custody forms, and prepare samples for laboratory shipment.Data Documentation: Maintain detailed records and documentation of daily activities and project-related work for regulatory compliance and reporting.Technical Communication: Communicate and collaborate with team members regarding status and findings while maintaining confidentiality as appropriate. Communicate regulatory and company policy/procedure changes.Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed reports analyzing results for risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making. Provide recommendations for corrective actions and continuous improvement of safety and health protocols.Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement standard operating procedures specific to industrial hygiene, including personal exposure monitoring, results reporting, and resolution strategies.Training and Education: Educate team members and operations managers on the recognition, prevention, and control of occupational health hazards. Collaborate with the Safety & Health Systems Manager, identify education and training needs and develop training materials/correspondence.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure industrial hygiene activities adhere to OSHA, NIOSH, and other relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure implementation of new standards as applicable.Travel: Conduct on-site evaluations across multiple construction/facilities locations, which may require regular travel to different states.Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene or another related field or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience. 0 to 5+ years of experience with Industrial Hygiene in the construction industry preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, and EPA regulations as well as other state/federal safety regulations and company safety policies/procedures.Proficiency in using industrial hygiene monitoring equipment (e.g., air sampling pumps, noise dosimeters, calibrators).Ability to analyze exposure data and recommend appropriate hazard controls.Ability to prioritize tasks independently and manage programs effectively.Ability to conduct and document sample collection to meet regulatory requirements.Ability to work in high production environment (50+ hours/week, including nights and weekends) and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.Personal computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Phone Apps, etc.).Organization and administrative recording skills.Basic writing and communication skills (MS Suite, emails, memos, correspondence, etc.).Ability to work independently with regular guidance from the Safety & Health Systems Manager.Leadership Skills:

Valid Driver’s License, good driving record required.CHST or OHST Preferred.Working environment:
