ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Follow all rules, regulations, policies and procedures for the property area and assist in protecting and safeguarding all property assets. Must be able to comply with all National Aquatic Safety Company (NASCO) standards. Ensure all rides are being operated properly as outlined under departmental SOPs. Respond to all aquatic and park emergencies in a timely and safe manner. Maintain all EMT personnel files and ensure that required training is kept up to date. Keep all water safety training files and audits up to date. Monitor staffing levels and address any early out requests or the need for overtime for all assigned positions. Listen to, investigate and resolve guest concerns or issues with the safety of the park and its attractions. Maintains a working knowledge of facilities/outlets and special and upcoming events on property, in order to advise customers of same, whenever possible. Communicates important, relevant information to following shift. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises the daily activities of the assigned staff on the assigned shift.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:
18 years of age or above. Non – Gaming property
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED is required. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of previous lifeguard experience. Must currently hold a NASCO Lifeguard Instructor certification. Must be an approved and licensed EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). Must have a minimum of one (1) year or previous experience as either a Water Safety Lead or a similar level/type position or above in order to be considered.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Essential responsibilities include physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds, and standing/walking 90% of the shift. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift.

This position is required to work outside in direct weather conditions and may perform responsibilities and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces as well as exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme weather/heat.
Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
