Description:  

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Salad & Sandwich Maker to join our Camp Services team in Northern British Columbia. As the Sandwich & Salad Maker, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious sandwiches and salads for our residents while maintaining a safe, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.   

The rate for this position is $18.75 an hour. Rates may be subject to change.  

Responsibilities: 

The preparation of salad bar items, including the preparation of basic foods and portioning  Creativity with salad and sandwich making including made to order specialty sandwiches.   Able to work efficiently by making high volume count of salad and sandwich products   Oversees stocking of all food serving areas, with a focus on quality, appearance, adequate stocking levels, and minimizing leftovers and product waste.  Operating all equipment safely such as meat slicer and knife handling.   Maintaining the daily preparation, handling, storage, rotation, and serving of all sandwiches/salads required to meet the kitchen demands    Prepare salads and sandwiches according to specifications in quantities sufficient for the day’s count.   Assist anywhere else in the kitchen during production as needed.  Acts in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer and employee interactions.  Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.  Follow requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.   Other duties as assigned  

Qualifications: 

The successful candidate must hold a valid food safety certificate   1 year of experience as Sandwich/Salad Maker in the hotel/restaurant industry   Excellent people skills   Able to work effectively and efficiently with little supervision   Ability to prioritize and multitask     Works well under pressure
