Job Description:
The Sales Planning Finance Functional Lead is responsible for managing the financial processes in the TPM. The functional lead is considered the product owner and owns all key decisions regarding build and implementation of financial integrations with SAP, TPM, and TPO tools. Additionally, the associate will be responsible for developing the product roadmap in conjunction with stakeholder and developer Inputs. The job holder works closely with Finance, Sales, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure financial calculations and Integration work flawlessly driving best in class financial management. The position must drive alignment of processes and key inputs from the sales and finance organizations. The Sales Planning Finance Functional Lead is also responsible for understanding the total financial planning landscape including sales inputs, accruals, deduction management, period, and year close etc. This role is a project-based transformation role and has a current expected end date of December 31st 2026. Leads the Deduction process design and build
Leads and drives financial processes during launch of a new TPM/TPO system within Mars Wrigley US.
Drives financial processes via systems in accordance with Mars finance principles.
Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and implement finance tools that simplify tracking of the MW US financial performance.
Ownership of financial transactions occurring in sales trade planning tool. Ensuring ongoing maintenance, roadmap, and development implementation.
Works with controllership to ensure adequate controls are in place systematically In TPM system.
Partners with sales and Internal stakeholders to support strategic demand planning and develop wholistic financial call.
Collaborates with key stakeholders internally to navigate challenges and provide solutions as required to maximize accuracy.
Identifies opportunities to introduce better, faster, more accurate and scalable solutions that better meet teams needs and deliver strong accuracy.
Coordinates with Technical team including data scientists, digital team and product development team to address issues in functionality and build roadmap for future improvements.
Utilizes operational reviews to proactively gain insights, identify issues and propose improvements solutions.
Supports finance, sales, and operations in understanding the total financial plan, risks and opportunities and overall actual performance vs plan. Also supports in identifying what actions need to be put in place to drive improved accuracy.
Identifies and implements best practice for the sales and finance team through the periodic planning process.
Works closely with global stakeholders to ensure solution scalability.
Context and Scope
This job holder collaborates with and influences internal stakeholders and sales teams to deliver a world class trade planning process which is then converted into an agreed financial plan.
This role requires planning and influencing skills and an ability to make recommendations to stakeholders and operate independently.
This role also requires the ability to Influence VPs, Directors, NAMs, key stakeholders using facts to drive process.
Job Specifications/Qualifications
Bachelor’s in finance, accounting, business or other relevant area
Master’s degree preferred
Knowledge / Experience
Finance experience within a FMCG environment with a demonstrated ability to act with the customer and company in mind.
Experience with SAP financial transactions
Accounting, accounts receivable or sales finance experience
Excellent analytical skills and experience of applying a wide range of analytics that drive insights and actions for complex customers and a variety of business situations.
Experience in problem solving, with the ability to use processes/ tools/ systems to unlock knowledge and generate insights and develop solutions for a wide range of customers and issues.
•Strong business acumen with a strong understanding and application of the financial planning process.
•Experience of building strong relationships in a cross functional environment.
•Experience in areas such as (but not exclusive to): finance manager, analyst, controller roles.
