General Summary:
The sales Account Manager will be responsible for growing revenue with industrial and embedded IoT accounts such as OEMs, ODMs, EDC(Embedded Design Center) and Distributors. This person will work in Korea reporting to Korea IE-IOT organization and be responsible for creating the strategy and execution for driving sales of Qualcomm Industrial embedded IOT products into Korea Industrial embedded IOT market. The Sales Account Manager will develop new accounts and partners (EDC and Distributors) to drive growth of Qualcomm’s IE-IOT business in Korea in addition to managing the existing customers and partners. Sales will manage local distributors related to IE-IOT business and collaborate for business expansion.
Strong existing relationships with key players and distributors in Industrial embedded IOT sector will be highly desirable. This position requires very close communications across different teams in the region such as business development, product marketing and customer engineering team. The key roles are as below.
Maintain a deep and dynamic understanding of the customer’s business and technical objectives, strategies, and capabilities, and ensure ongoing alignment with the companies’ product roadmap and business objectivesPromote and expand application processors, Aware platform, SOM/Module and connectivity such as BT/Wi-Fi and PLC by developing business opportunities in Industrial embedded IOT industriesSecure design-wins across Industrial embedded IOT sectors – Retail, industrial automation, tracking and logistics, energy, and home appliancesCapture product/technology/commercial demand from customers, eco-system partners and distributors followed by alignment works with Qualcomm business unitDevelopment of new demand creation, new customer engagement, sourcing new embedded design center and achieve goal for revenue and design pipelineEstablish relation with local distributors and manage to achieve target KPIsFollow up day-to-day sales activities, manage design pipeline, generate account strategies, lead pricing/sales forecast/business contractAbility to travel domestic and internationally for business tripMinimum Qualifications
5+ years working experience in sales/account manager/business developer/product marketing and proven record of design wins in high tech industryUnderstanding of whole IoT industry in Korea market and its trendConsultative sales, business planning skills, account analysis and strategy ability, excellent commercial understanding, negotiation skillsExperience in managing distribution channels and their ecosystemKnowledge and ability to use basic tools like SCM, CRM and ERPStrong verbal and written communication skills in both English and KoreanApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
