Waldorf Astoria is looking for a Sales, Catering and Events Coordinator to join the team at this gorgeous Atlanta property!

\n

Located in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods, this 42-story tower has over 200 rooms (127 guest rooms plus residences), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes the 3-meal restaurant, bar, and in-room dining.

\n\nClassification: Full-Time\nShift: Primarily Monday - Friday business hours but must have availability to work weekends and/or holidays as needed.\nPay Rate:  20.00 to 20.25/hour\n\n

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills required\nComputer literacy which is not limited to: Microsoft Office, Excel and Power point\nExcellent typing and organizational skills\nMust maintain a high degree of confidentiality\nDetail oriented a must\nMust possess ability to coordinate with multiple tasks.\nRequires high levels of interaction with all members of staff.  \nStrong level of professionalism must be displayed at all times\nWillingness and capacity to learn and apply new systems\n\n

     These qualifications are desirable:

\n\nProficiency in Delphi FDC, OnQ and Rates & Inventory systems\nBachelor's degree in hospitality, business or related field\nBi-lingual communication a plus but not required.\nCapability to use Excel to generate and interpret data reports on business volume from sales territory and individual sales progress reports. \n\n

What I will be doing?

\n

As a Sales, Catering and Events Coordinator, you would be responsible for providing information, assisting in the daily operation of the Sales and Catering departments as well as the maintenance of all sales records. This individual will also maintain and update the Delphi.FDC, OnQ and Rate & Inventory (R&I) systems and communicate related information to colleagues. The administrative requirements of this position will not be limited to assisting with administrative needs, training, client relations, and general office projects under the direction of Director of Sales & Marketing.

The Sales & Catering Events Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing and Sales & Catering Director and Managers.

\n

\n\nPrepare files and documents for periodic meetings chaired or attended by the Sales Team\nPrepare and distribute weekly BEO, Resume Packets and Daily Reporting\nEnsure all incoming Leads are logged into Delphi.FDC\nFacilitate Group turn-over process for definite group bookings\nBuild and maintain group bookings in Rate & Inventory system, as needed \nBuild and Manage all booked groups in OnQ Front Office, as needed\nEnter and modify individual reservations and group rooming lists in OnQ Front Office\nEnsure banquet checks are received daily\nEnsure banquet checks are accurate in Delphi.FDC\nProcessing necessary, accounting forms; including Group Commissions and Deposits including maintaining FastPay system for accuracy\nComplete Amenity forms and coordinate delivery with IRD\nComplete expense reports\nManage department PO’s in Smart Spend system and manage PO processes and procedures\nHandle communication with clients on behalf of sales personnel \nTrack monthly account production, as directed by the Director of Sales and Marketing\nAttend Weekly Ops, Group Pickup, GRC Review & Resume Meetings\nAttend BEO Meetings\nHandle all necessary third-party rentals for groups\nEnsure departmental processes and procedures are followed as outlined in the Sales Guidelines\nAssume Delphi.FDC administrator role \nAssist with clients entertaining\nAssist with site inspections \nAnswer telephone calls and handle enquiries professionally\nFile correspondence and documents\nAssist Sales, Catering and Marketing Teams with Sales & Marketing projects\nPerform any other reasonable duties as required by the DOSM, Director of Revenue Management, Catering and Events Director and Managers, Group Sales Managers and Marketing Manager.\n
