Sales Account Manager

The Sales Account Manager plays a critical role in helping JBT and its customers achieve their goals. They are responsible for growing the business in their vertical, focusing on the Warehousing, Building Products and Paper Industries. This includes owning the development of an industry sales plan, account plans, and the associated strategies and tactics to achieve orders and profitability goals. The Opportunity ... Responsibilities: Demonstrate understanding of the customer's business priorities and initiatives. Discuss relevant trends and priorities integrating industry knowledge and solution knowledge. Have comprehensive understanding of JBT Automated Systems solutions Responsible for overall strategic account plans, pursuit plans, Competitive Displacement Plan and Pipeline Development Plan. Coordinates activities with other JBT division sales efforts on a national and international level. Respond to RFPs, bid preparation, follow-up, negotiation and closing of sales Provide sales and executive management with account updates, sales forecasts, etc. Accurately forecast for the current quarter and future quarters. Serves as the liaison between the customer and engineering and leads the development of new system proposals. Assists Product Service and Support staff with the development of system expansion or enhancement proposals. Maintains a high level of ongoing communication with key decision makers / influencers within the accounts. Obtains necessary customer paperwork to finalize order entry into the JBT system. Works closely with all functional stakeholders Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials and campaigns Ability to prospect new business in existing accounts Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or a related role. Willingness to travel 60% or more Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) Knowledge of Salesforce, a plus. Strong mechanical-electrical aptitude Current valid driver’s license Multi year track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals Proficient at establishing and maintaining relationships at multiple levels within customers’ organizations. Excellent communication skills including presentations, written, oral Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Process, discrete, and/or manufacturing industry knowledge / experience AutoCAD and/or 3D visualization tool basic knowledge is a plus Familiarity with Warehouse, Building Products and/or Paper industries is a plus Why work at JBT ...
