Description
We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry, based in Bergen County, New Jersey. This role involves managing customer support initiatives and driving sales for strategic internal, external, and international customers. You will be responsible for pre-sale and post-sale functions, achieving sales goals, leading a dedicated support team, and providing analytical insights to measure performance.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to identify customer requirements and ensure a smooth transition from pre-sale to post-sale processes
• Manage commercial and national accounts, including planning and layouts
• Lead the Inside Sales team, fostering an inclusive and growth-oriented environment
• Drive forecasting, relationship development, and overall sales functions for assigned accounts
• Efficiently manage onboarding and offboarding of agents and reps to maintain smooth operational continuity
• Collaborate with the sales team and quotations department for accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and commission tracking
• Support sales initiatives to achieve account growth and market penetration
• Provide comprehensive support for international customers, particularly in Canadian and Apple business opportunities
• Lead showroom presentation efforts in collaboration with the marketing and sales teams
• Identify areas for streamlining and enhancing the customer experience, focusing on technical support and efficiency
Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales role within the manufacturing industry
• Proficient in customer relationship management (CRM) software
• Experience in data processing is essential
• Familiarity with 'About Time' software would be advantageous
• Competent in handling and answering inbound calls
• Knowledge of SAP software is a requirement
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional negotiation and sales skills
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively
• Proactive and can work under pressure
• High level of organization and attention to detail
