Mendocino Forest Products Company, LLC. is looking for a a dynamic Sales Assistant to join our team. This position strives to provide outstanding customer service and professional support to our customers all while being a part of our excellent sales team in Ukiah, CA.
ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Provide clerical and administrative support including but not limited to reviewing sales orders to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of deliveries.Provide daily administrative support which may include greeting visitors, receiving and making deliveries, arrange conference calls, make appointments, organize customer events, arrange and coordinate travel schedules.Serve as a key point of contact and resource for the sales teamAct as a liaison between customers, sales team and other departments within the organization to ensure complete customer satisfactionMaintain current and accurate customer informationCommunicate order status and order issues to the sales team and other members of the organization as neededFacilitate the proper handling and approval of customer documentsData entry of sales orders in Lumber Track Inventory Sales System May order and maintain sales and office supplies, and arrange for equipment maintenance as directedAnswer and direct telephone calls, recording messages when necessaryRetrieve data and other records upon requestInterprets and implements management policies and operating practicesParticipates in the development and communication of quarterly and year end data with the sales teamInvestigates significant customer matters including customer documents and any customer concerns/complaints as directed and communicates all status to the sales team and other members of the organization as directedReviews customer quality and shipment questions/concerns and communicates them to sales teamAssists in inventory management and coordinates with the distribution center to expedite orders as necessary and assists with pre and post sales tasks Qualifications High school diploma or GED; and/or a minimum of two years related experience Must maintain and carry a valid California driver license and remain eligible and capable of operating company vehicles including automobiles and trucks in accordance with company policy guidelinesTo perform this position successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. MS Access experience is a plus Ability to speak and communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizationFamiliarity with lumber terminology and lumber calculation is a plus
