Job Summary:

Supports a senior loan officer/sales person by managing the loan file from application thru closing, in a way that allows the sales person to originate more loans. The duties for the Assistant include, but are not limited to, those described below.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Application: Assists the customer in completing the loan application, and obtaining the necessary borrower conditions needed to apply for financing and approval, as directed by supervisor..Communication: Communicates with parties of a transaction, including borrower/co borrower, real estate agent (s), closing agent (s) and 3rd party services, as to the status and timelines of the loan financing, as directed by supervisor.Coordination: Coordinates funding requests and follows up for required documentation and conditions for all pre- and post-closing items.Equipment: Uses such office equipment as computer terminals, copiers and FAX machines.Physical: Sits for extended time periods.  Hearing and vision within normal ranges.Answer PhonesTake applications (requires licensing)Set appointments with realtors (outbound calling) and prospectsManage Branch Manager e-mailPre-Approve buyers, structure dealsCollect initial docs from prospects and assist collecting conditions from borrowersPut out firesManage Branch Manager CRMSet-up appreciation eventsSend out giftsSend out hand written lettersHelp with marketing to database - including sending textsRun errandsVideo Marketing/ Social MediaAdministrative support - scan documents, submit expense reports, manage branch vendor relationshipsApplication Support:Assist customers in completing loan applications.Obtain necessary borrower conditions for financing and approval as directed by the supervisor.Communication:Communicate with all transaction parties, including borrowers, real estate agents, closing agents, and third-party services regarding loan status and timelines.Coordination:Coordinate funding requests and follow up on required documentation and conditions for pre- and post-closing items.Administrative Support:Answer phones and manage emails for the Branch Manager.Scan documents, submit expense reports, and manage branch vendor relationships.Send out gifts, handwritten letters, and marketing materials to the database, including texts.Client and Loan Management:Pre-approve buyers and structure deals.Collect initial documents from prospects and assist in gathering conditions from borrowers.Put out fires with proper training provided.Manage the Branch Manager’s CRM and ensure accurate client and lead tracking.Event and Marketing Support:Set up appreciation events.Help with video marketing and social media campaigns.Assist with marketing to the database and creating engaging content.Operational Support:Order title work, appraisals, FHA case numbers, title insurance, and home insurance.Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment, including decorations.Run office errands as needed.Technology and Equipment:Utilize office equipment such as computer terminals, copiers, and fax machines efficiently.

 

Responsibilities Directs the client to complete/completes loan applications.Entering borrower(s) information into the CRM for the loan originator.Completes a client(s) list of loan conditions needed qualify for financing.Qualifies a customer, by doing the following, but not limited to the followingPulling CreditRunning AUSCompleting Income Calculation WorksheetsRe working the loan based on certain scenariosDisclosing the loan.Ordering Appraisal(s).Ordering Verifications, VOE, VOM, VOD.Submitting the loan file to processing.Clearing conditions upon approval.Setting up a loan file for closing.Clearing any prior to funding conditions. Qualifications Minimum one years of mortgage experience(or comparable experience.)
