Job Description Summary
Responsible for creating sales utilizing exceptional customer service and knowledge of the La‐Z‐Boy selling process, products and services. Strive to create long‐term customer relationships that will lead to increased sales and profitability. Develop awareness of interior design through practical experience, observation and interaction with a La‐Z‐Boy Designer.Training Pay: $15 - $17 per hour for 3-4 weeks (no commission or bonus)
Average Earning Potential After Training: $50,000 - $70,000 (inclusive of base and commission)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drives Sales
Contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories and services offered by La‐Z‐BoyTeam with Store Manager, Sales Manager, Designer, and Associates to promote the Design program and drive overall store salesAssist the Designer to achieve established Design program sales goalsConsistently execute the La‐Z‐Boy selling process and strive to provide a favorable experience to all customers.Develop and utilize sales skills and principals including approach, rapport building, needs discovery, customized portfolio presentations, answering objections, closing, follow‐up, after sale service and continuing contact with all previous and potential customersMaximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programsMaintain strong knowledge of features and benefits of existing and new product lineMeet or exceed established goals as set by managementDesign Program
Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs, including sample fabrics, furniture, tables and accessory recommendations as well as the benefits of a professional installation service.Execute and champion the Design process per company guidelinesResponsible to support design related functions in the storeCustomer Focus
Provide the highest level of customer service to all current and future customersEnsure that each La‐Z‐Boy customer has an informative and positive experience by using good customer service skills and knowledge of products, while following the company selling processEffectively use Podium to ensure customer satisfaction and future follow‐upMake sound business decisions to deliver customer satisfaction and promote team environmentProvide store support to incoming phone calls and emailsAssist in handling customer issues and/or complaints. Maintain a positive working relationship with all store associatesAssist to train, coach and develop new peers on La‐Z‐Boy product knowledge and selling process/skills to achieve store sales goalsHelp promote and champion a culture of sales and serviceOperational Excellence
Assist with maintenance of the overall visual appearance of store, this includes but is not limited to assist to maintain floor and/or showroom displays, tagging of products and accessories, maintaining accessory catalogs and design center fabrics, floor moves, and maintaining general store cleanlinessAdhere to general store operational procedures and guidelinesAccurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, keep orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveriesResponsible to accurately complete the daily On‐Point system logShow a sense of urgency, enthusiasm and excitement with the store team and customersMaintain adequate knowledge of company standards, product knowledge and internal processes and systemsConsistently schedule deliveries with customersResponsible for opening and closing of the storeMOD responsibilities as assigned by management

What You Can Expect:
Total Compensation Range: Local Minimum Wage - $80,000Post-Training Base Pay: $12 - $13.50 per hourCommission: Earn more with UNCAPPED monthly commission ranging from 1% to 6% on individual written sales, based on your ability to meet specific individual sales goalsThe Total Compensation Range is at least the local applicable minimum wage and up to the high-earning average target for this role. Individual pay is based on various factors, including geographic location, personal performance and relevant qualifications, experience, skills, and education. By providing our salary ranges and total compensation details, we aim to foster understanding and confidence in our pay practices.
