Seeking a Dedicated and Eager Sales Associate in Grimes!!
Job Description
Recycling Aggregate Sales - (Manager-In-Training). This position is open due to the upcoming retirement of a long-standing employee. The ideal candidate will start in operations for 3-6 months, transition into the Sales Associate role, and eventually take over as Sales Manager. The right person will eventually run operations for the company. Entry-level candidates can expect to make $70-75,000 in their first year, with opportunities for significant growth. Individuals with industry, sales, or management experience may earn around $100-120,000 in their first year (including salary and bonuses).
Responsibilities
+ Gain a full understanding of crushing operations at all recycling sites.
+ Obtain and maintain AGG1 and other related certifications.
+ Conduct sales prospecting and sales calls with estimators, engineers, and city officials.
+ Maintain current relationships with influential buyers and establish new customer relationships to achieve sales goals.
+ Quote projects, project sales, and manage raw material procurement.
+ Work with engineers and contractors on material approval and material submittals.
+ Stay informed and knowledgeable about upcoming projects in Iowa and the Midwest.
+ Expand the sales of recycled materials and hauling.
+ Collaborate with the Recycling Sales Manager and operations team to meet sales demand.
+ Understand competitor capabilities and market share.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years' experience in construction/construction sales.
+ 3+ years' experience in customer relations management.
+ Basic math skills.
+ Experience with Command Alkon (preferred).
+ College graduate with internship experience (Mining or Geological Degree).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ambitious and hard-working personality.
+ Experience in concrete, asphalt, paving, ready mix, and aggregate.
+ Sales, construction sales, account management, data entry, outbound calls, and customer relations management.
Work Environment
Generally, 45-55 hours per week; 7:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Monday- Friday with some weekend work, 52 weeks per year. The office environment consists of approximately 35 people, providing a small yet professional working atmosphere.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
