Summary:
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing sales and support services for assigned Financial Advisor(s) in defined territory while preparing for a licensed role. Duties include administrative tasks, business processing, customer service interaction, client prospecting, and appointment scheduling for the advisor. The Sales Associate’s role is essential to maintaining and expanding the advisor's business.

Answers incoming calls, handling requests or directing to appropriate parties.
Maintains and establishes all customer files.
Promotes the sales culture by demonstrating ability to sell and cross-sell the Bank’s products and services in order to reach individual and team sales goals.
Reviews and processes paperwork. Tracks all written business. Sends required documents, updates, and other correspondence to clients.
Processes and monitors all account transfers.
Handles customer inquiries. Manages client requests for distributions on accounts, or service issues as needed.
Prepares prospecting letters to clients on behalf of the advisor.
Participates in seminars, branch training and community events in support of Securities.
Calls existing clients, prospects, and referrals to confirm client meetings and set Advisor’s schedule. Overcomes objections when seeking appointments.
Studies for exams required for position.

Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank’s policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
Investment Sales in a banking environment is highly regulated and the advisor is expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's and FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. The Sales Associate will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to management, bank employees and bank customers in a collaborative and solutions-oriented manner.

Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems including Word, Outlook and Excel.
Possess accurate keyboard and typing skills.
Insurance license - Life & Health must be obtained.
The FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 66 (or 62 and 65) must be obtained.
Must obtain each license within 90 days with maximum completion time of one year from date of hire.
First license must be obtained within 90 days of hire with all other licensing to follow in 90-day intervals.
Additional Information:
The wage range for the Sales Associate is $19.00 - $23.00 per hour and eligible for approved overtime. The position includes 17 days of PTO (Paid Time Off) and 5 days of STD (Short Term Disability), 11 annual paid holidays, and 1 float holiday.
